Iran has land borders with seven countries: Türkiye, Iraq, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan. It reaches the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman in the south and the Caspian Sea in the north. That is why the goods of many countries in the region pass through Iran's customs territory.
In transit the goods are not cleared in the country and no import duty is paid on them, but they stay under customs supervision from entry to exit and a guarantee is lodged for them. SEAROAD prepares the transit declaration and the guarantee and coordinates with the customs offices of entry and exit.
